I talk about how I think we should build for the web, focussing on where design, code, and accessibility overlap.
My talks are often about motion and interaction, but accessibility is also an essential topic. I currently speak a lot about how CSS and JavaScript shape the way users experience a site, and what happens when you let native tools do more of the heavy lifting.
Over the years, I’ve built highly animated sites using libraries like GSAP.
While I still love GSAP, and don’t think it’s going to be obsolete anytime soon, I’m also exploring what’s possible with newer CSS features like scroll-driven animations and View Transitions. In my talks I explore what they can replace, what they can’t (yet), and how they change our workflow as creative developers.

You might not need JS
Motion on the web has come full circle: from simple CSS animations and transitions, to JavaScript libraries, and now back to CSS again. With the View Transitions API and Scroll-Driven Animations we’ll explore how modern CSS is reshaping creative development today and where you can replace JS with CSS solutions.

CSS came for my job
In this talk, I’ll share what I learned switching from full-control Javascript animations to CSS-driven transitions. I’ll talk about what works, what doesn’t (yet), and how these tools are reshaping the creative developer’s workflow. If you’ve ever spent days tweaking timelines or writing math for transitions, this might just convince you to let CSS take over (at least a little).

Beyond TellerrandMay 2025
Modern CSS for Creative Developers
How can we craft delightful, fluid experiences using just CSS? What does the View Transitions API unlock for us? How can Scroll-Driven Animations change the way we think about storytelling and interactivity on the web? And how do these modern tools impact performance, accessibility, and user experience?

A creative developer’s guide to creating accessible, award winning websites
Creative developers, designers, and clients often skip over accessibility, even though making websites accessible is usually pretty easy, and fun! As creatives we should be on the frontier of building digital experiences that are inclusive and enjoyable for all users. In this talk we’ll think about accessibility as an opportunity for innovation, let’s embrace the challenge!
I will only speak at events that have a clear and enforceable code of conduct, provide at least full coverage for my travel and accommodation costs, and demonstrate a genuine commitment to diversity in both planning and participation.
