Cyd at the QA after her talk at Wey Wey Web with MC Ralf

I talk about how I think we should build for the web, focussing on where design, code, and accessibility overlap.

My talks are often about motion and interaction, but accessibility is also an essential topic. I currently speak a lot about how CSS and JavaScript shape the way users experience a site, and what happens when you let native tools do more of the heavy lifting.

Over the years, I’ve built highly animated sites using libraries like GSAP.

While I still love GSAP, and don’t think it’s going to be obsolete anytime soon, I’m also exploring what’s possible with newer CSS features like scroll-driven animations and View Transitions. In my talks I explore what they can replace, what they can’t (yet), and how they change our workflow as creative developers.

In the past two years I’ve spoken at Awwwards Conference, Beyond Tellerrand, CSS Day and Wey Wey Web.

If you’d like me to speak at your event please contact me by email and don’t forget to include the date, location, speaker fee, target audience, expected audience size.

I will only speak at events that have a clear and enforceable code of conduct, provide at least full coverage for my travel and accommodation costs, and demonstrate a genuine commitment to diversity in both planning and participation.
